The l1 measure of image reconstruction subject to motion corrupted k-space data

چکیده
For reconstruction of a nonnegative real valued object based on scanned data in the k-space, it is shown that the l1 norm of the original motionless object is minimum among that of all objects with combined translational and rotational motions and is a sensitive measure of the object motions. These results provide an insight and theoretical fundamental for applying the l1 optimization to the motion correction problem for image reconstruction in various practical applications.

Improved navigator-gated motion compensation in cardiac MR using additional constraint of magnitude of motion-corrupted data
Background In conventional prospective respiratory navigator (NAV) acquisitions, 40-60% of the acquired data are discarded resulting in low efficiency and long scan times [1,2]. Compressed-sensing Motion Compensation (CosMo) has a shorter fixed scan time by acquiring the full inner k-space and estimating the NAV-rejected outer k-space lines [3]. Respiratory motion will mainly manifest itself as...

A new method for correction of MRI motion artifacts induced by corrupted k-space data, acquired by multiple receiver coils such as phased arrays, is presented. In our approach, a projections onto convex sets (POCS)-based method for reconstruction of sensitivity encoded MRI data (POCSENSE) is employed to identify corrupted k-space samples. After the erroneous data are discarded from the dataset,...

Introduction: It is well-known that diffusion-weighted (DW) imaging is very sensitive to the effects of brain motion, even in single-shot (ss)-EPI [1-4]. While the extent of rigid body motion can be minimized through patient compliance and by securing the patient’s head, pulsatile brain motion is ubiquitous and can be significant. Pulsatile brain motion that occurs during the application of the...

Introduction: Navigators can effectively track rigid-body motion of limited amplitude, such as respiratory motion [1,2,3]. In a Cartesian scan, data is corrected by applying to each k-space line the phase modulation corresponding to the amount of detected motion. However, lines associated with significant motion (e.g., swallowing in larynx imaging) are uncorrectable and therefore need to be dis...
